It is conceivable that patients with severe symptoms have been overrepresented in their research, which again might have biased the noticed distribution of both intracranial location and sidedness of the cysts. Similarly, it might be that symptoms from the speech dominant hemisphere in these earlier days were given a greater significance as justification for invasive radiological procedures, and that this might be the explanation of the observed left hemisphere preponderance. There were considerably extra lesions in the left center fossa than on the other side, with a left-to-right ratio of 1. However, utterly asymptomatic cysts may still exist that would have escaped detection as there was no clinical indication for computed imaging. Such information are actually out there in four research [2,three,7,8]; they report on true incidental findings in giant populations of healthy individuals.
